This ship was built in the Harland and Wolff yards in Belfast and was the second of the Olympic class of ships and was named after one of the Greek Mythological races. It was the largest passenger steamship at the time of its building.It had a top speed of 23.5 knots ( 42.6 kmph) and was propelled by two bronze triple-blade side propellers and one bronze quadruple-blade central propeller.
